Welcome to Chile! Transfer to your hotel before setting out to explore Santiago on a guided sightseeing tour. • Drive through the city’s Barrio Bellavista, known for its bohemian charm • Take a cable car ride up Cerro San Cristóbal to the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception, an icon of the city • Pass the Barrio Lastarria, Santa Lucía Hill, and the Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts • Set out on a short walk through Santiago’s Central Market and peruse the stalls • Continue on to Plaza de Armas where you’ll see Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral, the Chilean National History Museum, and Central Post Office Building This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Feb 04: Valparaiso & Chilean Wine Country

Visit to the coastal city of Valparaíso, locally known as “The Jewel of the Pacific.” • Embark on a guided tour of the city, passing through the UNESCO-recognized port and historic quarter • Board the Queen Victoria funicular for a ride up to the hilltop neighbourhoods of Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción, where you’ll set off on a walking tour • Enjoy free time for lunch Afterward, make your way to the nearby Casablanca Valley, where you’ll stop at a local vineyard for a tour and tasting. Sample the winery’s signature sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, and chardonnay before making your way back to Santiago.

Make your way to Los Glaciares National Park today for a close-up look at the growing Perito Moreno Glacier. • Stop en route at Lago Argentino to take in the surrounding mountain views, keeping an eye out for the flamingos and condors that call the lake their home (seasonal) • Embark on a cruise along the Perito Moreno Glacier face upon arrival in Los Glaciares National Park • Take in views of the glacier from a scenic overlook and enjoy free time to explore the surrounding walking paths

Embark on a guided tour of the city where tango was born. • Drive through the aristocratic Retiro and Recoleta neighbourhoods to visit the grave of Eva Perón, the former First Lady of Argentina • Make your way past the National Museum of Fine Arts and the beautiful parks and gardens of Palermo • Drive along 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest street in the world • Explore Plaza de Mayo, site of the May Revolution in 1810, and enter the neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral • Enjoy free time in the La Boca district, where the influence of its Italian settlers can still be felt today This afternoon, take a guided tour of the San Telmo food market. • Sample regional food, wine, and beer at a local restaurant • Stroll through the market and try a cup of South American coffee Later this evening, celebrate your trip with your group at a farewell dinner.
